1. What's the first thing you remember wanting to be when you grew up?

A nursery nurse. Or whatever those nurses who take care of babies right after they're born are called. Part of me still thinks that would be a nice job.

2. Describe a dream you remember?

I usually have boring/unmemorable dreams but have been having freaky ones as of late. The two most recent such dreams: (1) The one where I fell off a cliff head-first after diving after something on the ground. I remember falling through the air and thinking that I had to wake up because if you die in a dream, you really die. Freaky. I ended up with a head injury, had to walk to the hospital because my friends went ahead there without me (whatev! Some friends!), but instead of the hospital ended up at a J.C. Penny Portrait studio where I had to have my picture taken even though I had a head injury with a corresponding purple bruise all over the left side of my face. (2) The dream where I had this egg-shaped stone or bone thing in my arm that I knew I had to get out, but couldn't get anyone to remove, and so I cut myself open with a knife, pulled it out, and walked around for like ten minutes trying to find a needle to sew myself back up with. I had to hold my arm together because it kept gaping open. It was nasty. And how freaky!! Egg shaped bone thing in my arm!! What do you think it MEANS? I think that the egg represents my reservations about leaving everything behind to start a life devoted to following one Joshua Scott Chasez around the country and that the dream is telling me that I should remove such reservations! Only I can do it! Or maybe the egg is my self-doubt. Maybe I really do have an egg growing in my arm! Scary!

Moving on.

3. What book are you reading?

"Mona in the Promised Land" by Gish Jen. I love it so far. Also, "Artemis Fowl" by I don't know who. My eleven year old cousin lent it to me and keeps asking me what I think of it and I suck because I keep forgetting to read it.

4. What colour are your sheets? Curtains?

Sheets are white with pink roses. No curtains, blinds in my bedroom.

5. What song is in your head right now?

Like I Love You. No complaints!

6. Waitaminnit... Where are you?

At my temp job at the skeevy law firm.

7. I am afraid of...:

Being buried alive. Spiders. Ferris wheels. Also, dentists and serial killers. Or, to be more specific, serial killers who bury you alive with spiders after giving you a root canal on a ferris wheel. Pardon me as I crawl into the fetal position after considering that.

8. Your day job/dream job:

Day job: Temporary legal secretary.

Dream job: Undetermined. Writer, I suppose. Maybe a columnist, that would be cool. I also like the idea of teaching.

9. What movie have you seen the most times?

Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. I rented it one weekend when I was in seventh grade and watched it on permanent loop until I could just about recite it.

10. One question for Jesus, or Buddha or Muhammed, etc:

I have no idea! I'd like to think of something Deep and Meaningful, but I'd probably be selfish and just ask how I'm doing so far.

11. The guilty pleasure you'd really rather not admit to here:

Ok, I have many, but probably the guiltiest? I'm still kind of angry at ABC for not renewing the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen show "Two of a Kind" a few years back because that would mean there would be more reruns for me to watch on ABC Family.

12. Comfort food of choice:

A three item event, really: salty, buttered popcorn with Diet Coke to wash it down and M & Ms for dessert. Nummy.

13. What's the last video you rented?

A Walk to Remember. Cried for the last half hour. And Serendipity, but I never watched that one so it doesn't really count.

14. Who do people say you look like?

My father's side of the family, my aunt Amy in particular. A couple of weeks ago I was stopped in the grocery store but a woman I didn't know, who came up to me and said "You must be a MyLastName!" So I suppose it's true.

15. What's the bane of your existence?

I try to stay bane-free, but that's a difficult task. Oh! I KNOW!! People who go slow in the fast lane! THERE'S A RESON WHY IT'S CALLED THE FAST LANE, PEOPLE! IT'S FOR PEOPLE WHO GO FAST!!!!

Ahem.

16. What's the last thing you found on the ground and picked up?

A penny I dropped. It was one of those really cool old ones! Iamsuchadork.

17. A writer worth reading:

So many! I'm digging Gish Jen right now. Tim O'Brien.

18. Where would you like to grow old?

Anywhere, as long as I had friends and family close. And JC with me, of course.

19. A word of wisdom:

I'm not very wise. I don't know, be nice and have a sense of humor about things? Also, tip well.

20. The question you get asked ALL THE TIME!!!:

"So, have you decided what you're going to do with yourself?"

21. When was your last hospital visit?

Almost five years ago, when I had my appendix out.

22. The last thing you said out loud:

"See you tomorrow" to the secretary in front of me, who took off at 4:30.

23. Current clothing:

White sweater, long black skirt, black stockings, black boots. Silver and black watch, silver earrings. Hair up. Very boring.

25. In my last lifetime I was probably...

A good person. I got a pretty sweet deal when it came to my family, so I must have done something right.

Yes and Amen! My mother doesn't understand that concept though. She thinks she's exempt from the rules of the road. That's why I try never to get in the car with her. I wind up yelling at her to go faster.

Aren't slowpokes in the fast lane the absolute worst? I, too, have that reaction when I'm a passenger in the car of one of those slowpoke driver. It takes all of my willpower not to jam their foot into the accelerator myself!

I knew you'd call me out on those! Oh, my irrational insane fears. You will never let me forget them, will you AnnaBean? I suppose that's what friends are for. :)
