funk soul sister

Have been unexpectedly assaulted with random bad moodness. Distinctly unfun, especially since this is a three day weekend!! As in, day off!! Unpaid, natch, since I am a Lowly Temp, but still. Day off!! No funk should be allowed.
In other news: I am so seriously upset at my local newspaper for printing an inaccurate TV Guide insert. The first thing I did this morning was go downstairs and search it out to find out when my very favorite syndicated drama, Mutant X, would be airing. And they told me it would be on at 1AM! And I have been looking forward to it! And what do I have on my TV? Why, Adventure Inc., which looks to ghetto to even be a PAX TV show. What is up with that? I want my Mutant X! I want people with superpowers and bizarre storylines! Do you want to know something really sad? I've watched Mutant X on and off for a while now, and I'm still not sure exactly what the central premise is. Who is Genome X? Why is John Shea leading his rag tag bunch of mutants?
But do I care that I don't understand? No! For there are people with superpowers. Which is why I kind of liked Birds of Prey this week. I am so easy to please.
In other news part deux: I bought a DVD player! I am probably the last person on LiveJournal to buy a DVD player but I got one today AND it made it past the parking lot, unlike my ill-fated car CD player.
And that's all for now.
