1. What book is in your bathroom?
Me Talk Pretty One Day by Dave Sedaris.
2. What book is in your purse/backpack?
Bel Canto by Anne Patchett. My lunchtime reading, and I keep going back late to work because I don't want to put it down! But when I'm home, I can't read it because I want it to last as many lunches as possible. Can you tell I heart it?
3. What book is on your bedside table?
The Secret History by Donna Tartt, which was the last book I finished before starting Bel Canto. And also, Whale Summer by Chris Crutcher, a YA novel. Also, Pride & Prejudice and The Mother Tongue: English and How it Got That Way by Bill Bryson.
4. What was the last book you lent someone?
Can't remember! Was it as far back as when I lent Anna Mona in the Promised Land? Might've been.
5. What was the last book you lent out that someone brought back to you?
See answer to number 4. Anna's good people.
6. What book do you have loaner copies of, solely for the purpose of foisting it on unsuspecting friends and relatives?
You know, I do have multiple copies of a few books, but usually that's because I forget that I've already purchased a book, or because I buy it as a gift for someone and then end up giving said someone something else, etc. So, don't really have any in particular.
Oh God. I didn't do the dishes. Dammit. Off to do so, then bed!
