I'll tell you what annoys me. I have this sociology class. I'd say about 50% of the readings are on reserve in the library which is, in theory, ok, because we have an online reserve room where they get scanned in and we can read them at our leisure at home in our dorm rooms off of the school network. But! BUT! My psycho professor (who I actually like, but in this entry will be known as a psycho professor because I'm annoyed!) for some reason REFUSES to use the online reserve room, so they're only on reserve in paper form at the library!
This is fine, again, in theory, because you can just walk over there and read them before class. It's annoying because, you know, you have to haul ass to the library before every class, but it's doable. But! BUT! If you want to have these articles, you have to pay to copy them, and my roommate just calculated that the total cost of photocopying all articles would be over $100.00.
Again, this would be ok if you just had to read them for class. But no! I have to write this take home final paper and now she wants me to reference every single reading. Every one! Half of them are on reserve in the library! I don't have paper copies because I don't have the cash to copy all of them! And now I really don't feel like having to walk all the way over there, take them out two at a time and make notes so that I can refer to them somewhere in the paper! And everyone in my class is likely doing the same thing I am so who knows if I can even get them!
So! Annoying!
Am now going to go online and see if I can find these articles archived anywhere online so I don't have to walk across campus to the library. Because I don't want to.
