I'm always late, too. And I'm starting to be OK with it because I just don't think I can change. Today, for example, I needed to be in DC for a 12:45 meeting (aside -- who the hell schedules a meeting to start at 12:45?). Considering that I live about an hour from DC, it was kind of crazy to think that I could leave at 11:45 *and* get there early enough to find parking. So what time did I actually leave? 11:58.
Shockingly, I was only about five minutes late to my meeting because a miracle occurred in the form of a parking space right in front of the school. My secret? I did not shower or put on makeup or complete my reading for the class scheduled to begin later in the afternoon. See, it's all in the planning and the tradeoffs and the multi-tasking (and the exceeding the speed limit all the way down the Baltimore-Washington Parkway).
