worst employee evah
Today is the first day of The Temp Job and look! Here I am! Updating! I lasted until 1PM without checking LJ and went almost three hours longer without updating, but have caved.
Today I have:
-Hung up on someone when transferring a call
-Faxed something with the wrong name on the signature line
-Forgotten to get a signature for said fax
-Eaten at my desk
-Missed several phone calls because I couldn't figure out the Oh So Complex voicemail system. (Press 800, as clearly marked voicemail instructions say. Listen as magically the voicemail messages appear.)
-Obsessively checked LJ and E-mail
But! On the other hand, I have done all my filing, made copies, opened and put away mail, made several phone calls, fielded phone calls, wrote and sent a letter. And as soon as my neighbor gets off the phone, I will go see if I can help her because people were just talking in hushed whispers in that cubicle and I worry it was over me. Yes, I am paranoid and desperately want them to approve of me. Must remember that this is a temp job and it is OK if they refer to me as The Borderline Functional Spazzy Temp Who Eats At Her Desk.
Because I just don't care. I will do my work and I don't care if they like me! I don't!
