I'm so glad someone enjoyed them! I'm totally into Astaire/Rogers right now (I always enjoy them, but have been having occasional "OMG they are AWESOME!" flareups every couple of years since I was in college, and apparently I was due!), and I've been worried that my posts on them have been annoying everyone. But as long as one other person enjoys Fred and Ginger, then I will continue on!

Shall We Dance totally doesn't get the props it deserves. Yes, exactly, they danced on rollerskates! And so many great songs - They Can't Take That Away From Me (pure greatness), Let's Call the Whole Thing Off. Usually I don't like big finales with huge amounts of dancers for Astaire/Rogers movies, but Shall We Dance is the exception - that finale with him running around trying to find the real Ginger in a circle of impostors is just wonderful.
