I am very glad you didn't shoplift; have nearly done that far too many times myself. It's the combination of something lovely that will suit you (meaning it doesn't look or feel out of place looped around your wrist or held in your hand) and a complete lack of short-term memory.

That's it exactly! The bag I almost shoplifted was so perfect it seemed made for my wrist -- exactly the size I needed for my tutoring stuff, sturdy canvas texture, and decorated with potentially-ugly-in-their-boldness-but-cute-to-mepolka dots of varying sizes. Perfection! And I am so forgetful that sometimes I forget where I'm directing a call in the time it takes me to hit "Hold/Intercom" on my desk's Big Scary Phone.
