Maaaaaaaaybe, someone chose your car to egg because they didn't actually want to damage someone's paint, and figured that yours was already crappy, so who cares? Still sucks, but maybe it wasn't so much of a hate crime against crappy cars as someone trying NOT to ruin someone's good paint job. *chuckles @ self for trying to figure out the motive*
